Mizpah United Methodist Church in Walkerton has a small congregation with a large caring heart.  They donated school supplies for local school children - items which weren't collected were purchased from the church missionary fund.  Enough school supplies to fill 20 back packs (actually they were stuffed) were assembled with items such as:

• 20 back packs

• 20 lunch boxes

• 20 pencil boxes

• paper (both primary level and wide ruled)

• index cards

• pencils

• erasers

• pens

• highlighters

• colored pencils

• colored markers

• scissors

• notebooks

• composition books

• book covers

• glue (sticks & bottles)

• tissues

• sanitizer hand wash

• etc.

After the back packs were assembled church member Benny Hardwick delivered 10 backpacks to King and Queen County and 10 to King William County Social Services.  Social Services in both counties expressed their joy in being able to distribute these school items to children in their respective counties. 

Mizpah has received thankful letters from some of the  families who received the backpack. We appreciated receiving them
